Warsaw knock out Trentino in Trento: tie-break win, then golden set (15–11)
PGE Projekt Warszawa eliminated Itas Trentino after winning the second leg 3–2 at the BTS Arena and then taking the deciding Golden Set 15–11. Trentino had turned the match around from 0–1 to 2–1, but Warsaw grew in serving efficiency and composure late, forcing the tie-break and then finishing the job in the extra set.
Trento’s leading scorers were Theo Faure (34), Daniele Lavia (20) and Jordi Ramón (16). For Warsaw, Gomułka (24) and Bednorz (16) were key, with Tillie and Semeniuk both at 15. The Golden Set swung after the side change, as Warsaw’s serving run and Trento’s errors created the decisive gap.
