Cucine Lube Civitanova extended their perfect start to four matches with a 3-1 (25-23, 29-31, 33-31, 25-21) home win over Valsa Group Modena. Aleksandar Nikolov produced a career-best SuperLega performance, scoring 35 points at 66 per cent in attack and adding five aces. He settled a 44-minute third set with two consecutive kills after Modena had missed several chances to take the lead. Pardo Mati set his own league best with 16 points, including six blocks, but Modena were unable to recover after falling 5-0 behind in the fourth set.

Sir Susa Scai Perugia also remain unbeaten after sweeping Cisterna Volley 3-0 (25-22, 25-17, 25-15). Ferre Reggers scored 17 points at 71 per cent and collected his fourth MVP award in five appearances, while Oleh Plotnytskyi served four aces during a 6-0 start to the third set. Young setter Stefano Cappadona made his first start in place of Simone Giannelli and directed an attack that finished at 56 per cent. Perugia have played five matches because their fixture against Padova was brought forward from round 11.

Itas Trentino surrendered a two-set lead but recovered to beat Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza 3-2 (25-16, 25-20, 23-25, 18-25, 15-8). Substitute Adriano scored nine of his 11 points in the tie-break, attacking at 88 per cent in the decider as Trento turned a 3-5 deficit into an 11-5 advantage. Théo Faure led the winners with 17 points. Trento preserved their unbeaten record, while Piacenza suffered their first defeat but took one point from the match.

Two more contests went to five sets. Rana Verona overturned a 0-2 deficit to defeat Allianz Milano 3-2, with MVP Noumory Keita scoring 31 points and Francesco Sani helping to change the match after entering in the third set. Vero Volley Monza earned their first win of the season by holding off Acqua Sant'Anna Cuneo 3-2. Diego Frascio scored 27 points and put away the final ball after Cuneo had recovered from two sets down; Nathan Feral's 31 points were not enough to secure the hosts' first victory.

International

Volleyball Canada have parted company with men's national team head coach Dan Lewis after two international seasons. Lewis took charge at the beginning of 2025, but Canada finished bottom of the most recent Volleyball Nations League and were relegated before losing the Los Angeles 2028 qualification final to Cuba. Their Olympic campaign remains alive through the next World Cup. Lewis, a former Canada libero and assistant coach, is currently in charge of French club Alterna Stade Poitevin.
