Italian Women's Volleyball
COURMAYEUR - Numia Vero Volley Milano won the Courmayeur Cup with a 3-1 victory over Prosecco Doc A.Carraro Imoco Conegliano. Gianlorenzo Blengini's side prevailed 25-17, 15-25, 25-23, 25-23 in front of 2,377 spectators, becoming the tournament's third different winner in as many editions.
Eleonora Fersino was named MVP for her decisive defensive contribution, while Paola Egonu scored a match-high 30 points. Hena Kurtagic added 12 points, including six blocks. Milano turned the third set around after trailing 19-16, then resisted Conegliano's challenge in another tight finish to give Blengini his first trophy in charge.
Igor Gorgonzola Novara took third place by beating Savino Del Bene Scandicci 3-1. Novara recovered from a set down and from 15-6 behind in the fourth before completing a 22-25, 25-18, 25-21, 25-23 victory. Tolok was MVP with 20 points, Grobelna added 16 and Bergmann led Scandicci with 21.
BIELLA - Laica Cioccolato UYBA Busto Arsizio also came from behind to defeat Banca Valsabbina Millenium Brescia 3-1 and finish third at the Trofeo Città di Biella. Valeria Battista scored 22 points at 53 per cent in attack, Ajack Malual added 17 and Matilde Munarini contributed ten points and three of UYBA's 13 blocks.
FRATTE - More than 350 people attended the presentation of Nuvolí AltaFratte Padova, which involved every team from Minivolley to Serie A2. Head coach Marco Sinibaldi highlighted the continuity within the squad before the home opener against Melendugno on 4 October.

VALLEFOGLIA - Megabox Ondulati del Savio Vallefoglia have signed United States outside hitter Alexandra Frantti to fill the place left vacant by Loveth Omoruyi. Frantti will wear number nine as she returns to Italy after three seasons in Turkey.
The 30-year-old previously played for Chieri and Casalmaggiore, where she worked with Vallefoglia head coach Andrea Pistola, and will also be reunited with former team-mate Chiara De Bortoli. Frantti spent two seasons with VakifBank before moving to Galatasaray, winning the CEV Cup in her final campaign there.
Men's Club Volleyball
KRANJ - Pallavolo Padova recovered from two sets down to beat Fino Kaposvár 3-2 and win the Pokal Kranja in Slovenia. After taking the third and fourth sets 25-21, Padova prevailed 21-19 in a long tie-break. Leo Lukas scored 21 points, Orioli added 14 and Truocchio finished with 11. Padova had beaten Merkur Triglav Kranj 3-0 in the semi-final.
MACERATA - ABBA Pineto won the Memorial Furiassi-Valenti with two 2-1 victories, beating EnergyTime Campobasso and hosts Gruppo Fisiomed Macerata. Luis Vattovaz scored 19 points across the two matches, while Matheus Krauchuk was again rested. Pineto's next joint training session is scheduled at Fano on 30 September.
Men's EuroVolley
MILAN - Wilfredo Leon was named MVP of the 2026 Men's EuroVolley after helping Poland win the title. Leon was also selected in the Dream Team alongside Antoine Brizard, Théo Faure, Nooa Marttila, Bartlomiej Lemanski, Szymon Jakubiszak and Jakub Popiwczak, with Nikola Grbić named best coach.
Tomasz Fornal was not included despite scoring 13 points and attacking at 61 per cent in Poland's 3-1 final victory over France.
Youth Volleyball
PIACENZA - The youth teams of Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza shared the honours in two joint training matches against Volleyball Juniors Frankfurt. Piacenza's Under-17s won 3-1, while the German federal training-centre side took the Under-19 fixture by the same score.
